I have a few announcements from our wonderful parent liaison:
September 28th
Join
us at the school for our first general PSO meeting for all parents on
Wednesday, September 28th at 8:15 am. Our Academy Dean, Mrs. Toyin
Atolagbe, will share information about learning
styles, teaching styles, and homework strategies. During this
informative 1-hour session, she will cover:
- Learning and Teaching Styles
- How to identify learning styles of children
- How Great Heart's curriculum aligns with all learning styles
- How parents can support their children's learning styles while assisting with homework and overall learning at home
- Activities that promote individual learning styles
- General homework tips
- Question and Answer session
September 29th
Please
join us in celebrating the grand opening of our Archway Lincoln Library
with a Literacy Night, Thursday, September 29 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
The
evening will feature special literacy events including guest readers, a
craft for younger students, food trucks, a book fair, the Read-a-Thon
kick off and a special library dedication
from Mr. Kuhlman.
Additionally, there is a "Reading Under the Stars" event to encourage participation. Volunteers are needed and can sign up using the following link:

Treat
Friday! Students are encouraged to bring a gently used non-fiction book
or $1 to purchase a treat. These books will go directly into the
classroom libraries so please encourage participation!
