Week 10 Overview

Hello,

Even though we have Spring Break next week, we are not slowing down our pace a bit this week! Our scholars will be finishing up their final drafts of their persuasive papers. We're so proud of how hard they've worked to learn how to write an essay. We will be having a math test and a science test this week. Our class has embraced decimals and is undaunted by using decimals in all four operations. We're expecting them to breeze through their coming test. Our magnets and electricity unit will be coming to a close this week. Ms. Walls and I have enjoyed trying out new experiments and demonstrations with our scholars (even if sometimes our light bulb stash is all burned out!). In Literature, we will spend the week learning about plays. On Friday, the class will have the opportunity to read and act out a few plays to cap off their learning!

Field Day is on Thursday, March 10th. Here are a few things you need to know before then:
  •  Everyone needs to bring a lunch from home. There will be NO hot lunch that day.
  • If you would like to volunteer, there are still a couple spots available here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e084fada62ca2f85-athletic
  • Our class color is green and our city-state is Crete! We are so excited to represent 4B to the whole school!
If you have any questions about field day, you may direct them to Ms. Walls, Coach Cook (DCook@ArchwayLincoln.org), or me. Thank you!

Have a great week!
