Week 9 Overview

I can't believe we're starting the last full week of school! It doesn't seem possible that we're about to finish Archway Lincoln's very first year. It's been such a great year, and Ms. Walls and I are so grateful to have your wonderful, kind-hearted, curious students as our first class!

Though it's the end of the year, we won't be letting up the academic pace at all! :) In Literature, we're pushing toward the end of the book. Expect your scholar to have a Literature test either next Tuesday or Wednesday. In Language Arts, our class will be editing and peer editing their history papers. I am so excited for presentations next week; from what I've seen, all of our students have discovered many interesting things about their historical figures. In Math, we'll be reviewing during the first half of the week. On Thursday and Friday, our students will be taking a Great Hearts-wide math assessment. This assessment will not count for a grade, but the results will be sent (anonymously) to be compared with other Great Hearts schools. In History, we will have a quiz on Wednesday over Chapters 17-20. In Science, we are hoping to do a few demonstrations as we study the respiratory system, the lungs, and pulmonary diseases.

Keep an eye out for information about end-of-year festivities!

Have a great week!
