Hello 4B Families!
A few quick announcements before our curriculum overview. As you may recall, we had an assembly today during which we listened to some lovely chamber music. This Friday, we will have another assembly to kick off the read-a-thon, which starts on Thursday, September 29th.
In Math, we will have a quiz on Friday, September 30th. The quiz will cover long division and multiplication of two digit numbers.
In History, we started our heraldry project. I have been very impressed by the artwork I have seen so far. Ask your children about the different symbols they chose.
In Science, we will start learning about geysers and gain a deeper understanding of mountains.
In Language Arts, we started reading Prince Caspian. If you are unsure which copy to get for class, please view the cover art on the left side of the blog to guide you. If your child has a different copy, that is perfectly fine. They just may need to practice a little more vigilance to follow along in class.
Finally, I have a sign-up link for Parent/Teacher Conferences. I have placed it on left-hand side of the blog, where the reading group sign-up is located. They are scheduled from October 17th-19th. Please choose a slot that fits best with your schedule, as the conference is mandatory. If none of the times work for you, please send me an email. We may be able to work out a different arrangement so we can have the chance to speak.
